Nutrition of raspberry
Description
Cultivated red raspberries were introduced in Serbia long time ago. The berries have small seeds and appear medium to bright red in color depending on the variety. Their flavor is moderately tart, sweet and of excellent taste. A small percentage of the Serbian crop is consumed fresh, with a majority of raspberries ending up frozen.
Plant: Vigorous, small thorns
Harvest
Serbian raspberries are harvested between mid-June and mid-July.
Varieties
In Serbia, Willamette and Meeker varieties comprise the vast majority of the commercial red raspberry crops.
